Program Description

We will begin our journey early in the morning, departing from the town of El Chaltén by vehicle. Once at the Rio Eléctrico bridge, the trek starts along the trail that will lead us to the Fitz Roy Base and Laguna de los Tres.

As we move forward, the terrain becomes more challenging, ascending the East slope of the imposing Cerro Madsen. Here, we will encounter snowfields (frozen snow), which might require the use of crampones, an ice axe, and a rope, adding a touch of excitement to the day.

Once at the summit, we will witness a view that is, without a doubt, among the most impressive of Mount Fitz Roy and the Piedras Blancas Glacier.

At sunset, we will return along the same path to El Chaltén, where we can enjoy a well-deserved rest.

The total duration of this experience is estimated at about 12-14 hours of activity, promising to be an unforgettable day.
