Day-by-Day Itinerary

Detailed program for our guided climbing expedition to the iconic Aguja Guillaumet.

Day 1 – Climbing in El Chaltén

Meeting in El Chaltén, equipment check, and logistics. Multi-pitch rock climbing to practice rope maneuvers and granite climbing technique.

Day 2 – Approach to Piedra Negra

Transport to Río Eléctrico. Hike of 4 to 6 hours up to Piedra Negra high camp (1,500m). Camp setup and rest.

Day 3 – Climbing Aguja Guillaumet

Escalade of the classic Comesaña-Fonrouge route (400m, 6b). Summit of Aguja Guillaumet (~2580m) and descent. Return to Piedra Negra and rest.

Day 4 – Weather Backup / Rest Day

Backup day in case of poor weather conditions.

Day 5 – Descent to El Chaltén

Descent from Piedra Negra back down to Río Eléctrico. Return transfer to El Chaltén and trip closure.

  • Personal climbing equipment (boots, backpack, harness, helmet, crampons)
